The Open Call for mittelyoung 2023 is out.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opportunity to become part of a whole new generation on stage: the young Europe is here, now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 18 to 21 May 2023 nine<\/strong> selected shows will be staged at the SNG Nova Gorica and in Cividale del Friuli for the third edition of Europe’s most under-30 festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Open Call is open from 15 December 2022 to 15 February 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applications are open<\/strong> to artists and ensembles under 30<\/strong> in the fields of theatre, music, dance, circus and multidisciplinary arts from 27 European countries: Albania, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Ukraine.
All applications will be examined by a group of curators under 30 built thanks to the collaboration between mittelfest and some institutions and training bodies of Friuli Venezia Giulia region:
Associazione culturale Arearea, Civica Accademia d’Arte Drammatica Nico Pepe, Conservatorio Statale di Musica Giuseppe Tartini di Trieste, Conservatorio Statale di Musica Jacopo Tomadini di Udine, Fondazione Luigi Bon, University of Trieste, University of Udine and also Associazione culturale Circo all\u2019incirca, Associazione culturale Quarantaettezeroquattro, Associazione giovanile Robida, Convitto Nazionale Paolo Diacono, Scuola di Danza Erica Bront, Teatro Club Udine – Palio Teatrale Studentesco
The curators will also come from the SNG Nova Gorica (Slovenia) and the Carinthischer Sommer Music Festival (Austria).
Among the applications received, nine will be selected, to form the mittelyoung programme in May.
During the festival, the same group of curators will select, among the 9 mittelyoung shows, the 3 winning titles in their category to be presented again in the framework of mittelfest inevitable from 21 to 30 July 2023.
A performance in the music category may also be selected by the Carinthischer Sommer Music Festival, as part of the collaboration and exchange between mittelyoung and CS under 30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is indeed possible to participate in the music category in both the open call of mittelyoung and in the sister call of the CS under 30<\/strong><\/a>, open from January 16th to March 15th<\/p>\n\n\n\n
